About

Seaside Seafood was founded in 1977 by William "Jerry" Wood as a retail steamed crab carry-out business. Jerry along with his brother Jim operated the business in the original location for 26 years.  They built the Seaside Restaurant in 1993 which was later sold in 2001.

In the spring of 2003, Jerry's son Eric and his college roommate from Clemson University, Richard Remeta, purchased the original carry-out business. In January, 2005, the business was relocated 100 yards to the other side of Crain Highway - formerly home of "The Big Pencil." Seaside Seafood - "The Carry-Out" prides itself on providing the highest quality crabs and seafood in the area.

Eric and Richard opened Skipjack's Crab House in Overlea, Maryland in 2009. Visit http://www.skipjackscrabhouse.com Following that up with Skipjack's Crab Deck in Bowley's Quarters, opened in 2019. Visit http://www.skipjackscrabdeck.com
